Cuboid Self Storage saves Christmas with over 42,000 gifts donated to families in need
Last December, Cuboid Self Storage, a nationwide self-storage specialist, unveiled ‘The World’s Largest Charity Advent Calendar’, and helped bring festive cheer to 14,427 children across Lancashire - over 4,000 more than last year’s Lancashire Mission Christmas campaign.
Made possible by partnering with many local charities including Inspire Youth Zone, Endeavour Project in Bolton, and Mill Bank Wellbeing in Preston, and working with over 300 volunteers, an estimated 42,000 gifts were processed through Cuboid HQ and donated to families in need this Christmas.
Made up of 24 steel self storage shipping containers with numbered doors and festive lights, Cuboid Self Storage also donated a container of gifts to a charity every day for the 24 days of Advent supporting children and families who needed it most this Christmas.
In partnership with Cash for Kids, Cuboid Self Storage’s Head Office in Chorley served as the Lancashire HQ for Cash for Kids’ Mission Christmas 2025; 158 organisations across the region requested and received support throughout the 24 Doors of Cuboid Campaign.
Laura Charlton, Regional Charity Manager at Mission Christmas said: “Cash for Kids Lancashire have received so much support from the incredible Cuboid team who not only provided Mission Christmas with a donation, but also provided a Mission Christmas HQ and endless support to make this festive campaign possible.
“It has been brilliant to see the impressive Advent Calendar come together, making it possible to receive more gifts which resulted in helping to create a special Christmas for even more children than last year.”
Kirsty Peters, Head of Marketing and Communications, Inspire Kid’s Zone commented, “We’re incredibly grateful to have been part of this campaign. It’s easy to assume every child wakes up to a gift on Christmas morning, but that isn’t the reality for many families. Thanks to Cuboid’s support, we were able to make sure every young person who used our centre experienced the magic of Christmas - and the smiles said it all.”
Angela Gray, Partnership and Fundraising Director, Endeavour Project, added, “The donations highlight how magical it is when the community comes together. No division, no conflict, just a simple wish to make the lives of children who are in difficult positions due to domestic abuse that little bit better.
“For the families Endeavour supports, it truly is life changing when you have found yourself in the worst place possible to know that people who don't know you want to help. On behalf of the many families who woke up on Christmas morning seeing the true meaning of Christmas, thank you.”
Tim Knowles, Managing Director at FI Real Estate, said, “I’m proud that the Cuboid Calendar has helped so many families across Lancashire and the Northwest this Christmas. The festive campaign not only ensured that thousands of children who needed it got a gift this Christmas, but it also showcased a great sense of community across the region.”
